An in-depth analysis and discussion of your story that will help you clarify your vision and get it on the page effectively at any stage of writing.

With decades of experience and knowledge culled from having worked on thousands of stories, including bestselling and award-winning novels, I’ll offer suggestions for making your manuscript compelling, propulsive, and marketable, and help diagnose potential issues that may derail your story or stall your progress.

Whether you need help laying out an effective overview and structure for your story before a first draft, are stuck in the middle and need help getting back on the path, or have a finished and edited draft that just isn’t seeming to come together, this one-hour consultation can clarify what may be holding your story back or making it less effective and keep you and your story on track.

• Advance worksheets to help you identify your central story question; clearly define essential story elements; and, depending on what stage of writing you’re in, clarify the story’s structure and flow.
• A comprehensive review of these materials and your story synopsis.
• A 60-minute Zoom consultation to discuss these key story components; my analysis and feedback on the story’s strengths and weaknesses; and suggestions for ways to address potential stumbling blocks.
• Author questions and discussion.
• A recording of the call for your reference.
• Unlimited email follow-up for clarification and questions (does not include looking over or offering feedback on revisions; additional consulting fees will apply for this service).
