How to Get Started:
For developmental and line edits, I am happy to provide a sample edit.
Choosing the right editor for your manuscript is as important as choosing the right agent or publisher. To help us determine whether we’re a good “fit,” I offer new clients a complimentary sample edit.
If you’re interested in possibly working together, please send a brief synopsis of your story (a few lines or a couple of paragraphs is fine), along with five to ten sample pages—from a midpoint of the manuscript—in standard submission format: double spaced with one-inch margins all around, 12-point font (Courier or Times New Roman), paragraphs indicated by indents (tab), not by an extra line space—and the total word count, to firstname.lastname@example.org. I’ll respond promptly, and generally return sample edits within a week, with scheduling availability and a firm rate proposal.
